Laminate Floor

It’s important to look after your laminate floor correctly in order to get maximum lifespan from your product. Depending on which brand and type of laminate flooring you choose, the residential instructions will vary slightly, however there are some basic guidelines that are generally applicable to all laminate floors:

Use wood flooring felt pads on the bases of furniture and legs of chairs. Although laminate floors are scratch-resistant, repeatedly moving heavy furniture or chair can wear down the surface and leave scuffs or scratches. Using felt pads under all furniture will protect against this.

Check your shoes before walking on your laminate floor (especially heels!) Look out for debris or anything sharp, especially common in high heels, that can cause significant scratches to any hard floor.

Install mats at entrances. Having an outside mat in place helps to remove stones and dirt. A thinner rubber backed mat inside is a good idea for removing extra moisture.
